MOTORCYCLE BATTERIES - A NEW LINE OF MAGNETI MARELLI
- 01.04.2009Magneti Marelli, together with its units: Powertrain (fuel injection systems), Electronic Systems (dashboards) and Automotive Lighting (lighting) is a first assembly provider for most motorcycle manufacturers, including the companies Piaggio, Yamaha, Ducati. The best manufacturers choose the best PRODUCTS - in 2008 it was Yamaha and Ducati that won the MotoGP and Superbike Championship titles.
Magneti Marelli's experience and expertise as a first assembly product supplier was also used in the Aftermarket. In March 2009, Magneti Marelli Aftermarket introduced a new range of 6 and 12V rechargeable batteries for scooters, 125, sports, tourism, custom and enduro motorcycles as well as for snowmobiles, personal watercraft and ATVs. The offer includes 41 references of batteries providing the coverage of the European market in approximately 95%.
It offers customers a new catalog of motorcycle batteries containing the characteristics of the whole range and the applications of individual products. The offer includes both standard batteries and completely maintenance free accumulators in which the electrolyte is enclosed in a separate container. Batteries are supplied dry loaded so as to eliminate the problem of a battery self-discharge during storage - they can be stored for more than 2 years.
