- 26.04.2013

Magneti Marelli took part in Automec 2013 – one of the most famous Brazilian trade fairs of automotive parts and accessories.

As a leader of the Brazilian shock absorber market, the Aftermarket business division announced the enlargement of its catalogue which now contains 300 components, making the company one of the main suppliers of Brazilian automotive parts.

Magneti Marelli Aftermarket, one of the main designers of systems and components for the automotive industry in the world displayed its innovative merchandise and a comprehensive portfolio of products for the Brazilian market of spare parts between 16 and 20 April on the occasion of the 11th International Trade Fair for Automotive Parts, Equipment and Services (11a Feira Internacional de Atopeças, Equipamentos e Serviços-Automec). Apart from the enlargement of shock absorber catalogue (which ensures the availability of parts for 98% of Brazilian vehicles), the company presented a new line of Magneti Marelli Extra diagnostic equipment equipped with scanners, air-conditioning diagnostic and service stations, exhaust gas analysis stations, test stations for injection and charging systems. All Magneti Marelli Extra products were available on specials terms of sale throughout the fair.

Moreover, there was a presentation of a new line of Cofap brake pads for light and heavy vehicles (85% market coverage). Thanks to these new products, Magneti Marelli Aftermarket will take its chance also in this line of business.

The company has announced other investments to expand the range of motorcycle parts offered. When it comes to shock absorbers, inner cylinders of shock absorbers , engine kits, connecting rods, drive kits and filters, the market share of the company is growing rapidly. Introduction of a new line of batteries and enlargement of the catalogue of lights are some of the major actions taken by the company.

Eliana Giannoccaro, CEO of Magneti Marelli Cofap Autopeças, highlighted not only the new releases but also the presence of products that are already successful on the Brazilian market. “What stands out among the most popular components presented at Automec are the suspension control arms and the thermic line. They have been gaining more space on the shelves of specialized and general distributors. This is clearly a success that results from a strategic partnership between Magneti Marelli Cofap Autopeças and Behr-Hella Service. In addition, another product line, the suspension control arms, already holds over 40% of the market share.”

Magneti Marelli Aftermarket business line is the second largest in the sector on the Brazilian market and serves as a commercial platform for the marketing of about 50 product lines, with as many as 12,000 codes. Committed to ensuring the satisfaction of its customers, the company maintains a program of promotional campaigns that constitutes a frame of reference for others.

Thanks to the support of the engineering staff who were there to clear up any doubts, the visitors to the Anhembi Exposition Pavilion (Pavilhão de Exposições do Anhembi) had the opportunity to find out everything about Magneti Marelli and Cofap products available on the market.
